Creamery On Main, previously known as Middlebury Cooperative Creamery, was established in 1921 with $10,000 in stocks. In 1934, it became a producer's cooperative. The creamery played a vital role in the Middlebury community, sourcing cream from various farms and even importing surplus cream. Its progressive measures led to expansion and a strong reputation in the dairy industry. Today, Creamery On Main stands as a testament to resilience, adaptability, and community-driven success, proudly carrying forward the legacy of the Middlebury Cooperative Creamery that began over a century ago.
